Orientation Ball.

I do realise that this is like a long overdue post as the event was held weeks ago. Lol. Nevertheless, I do believe in the quote, "Better late than never." Besides, considering the fact that I am free from excessive homework these two days, I can take this golden opportunity to keep my blog alive. :D Seriously, it is such a rare occasion for me to not have homework okay. It is pure bliss not to have homework.

Anyway, the ball was held on the 25th of February at JW Marriot for the students from the 1201, 1107 and 1103 cohort. Come to think of it, it is not THAT long ago. ;) I know right, JW Marriot. Who would ever thought that the event would be held at such a luxurious and renown hotels in the speck of the city? Hee. According to the president of our Student Council, the ball is conducted as to hand down and inaugurate the new board of Student Council as well as a ball to 'welcome' us? Right, okay.

Needless to say, everybody was really dolled up on that day with their evening gowns and tuxedos. Man, must I say that everybody simply looked so stunning and different on that day. Well, its not like there is a reason for us to wear our suits and gowns to college right? I can just imagine everybody with their stares and glares. So funny. Lol. It was just simply, indescribable.

So, registration was supposed to start at 6 pm and the event was scheduled to officially start at 7 pm. Although, being Malaysians, such events are bound or are simply predicted and known to be delayed. Thankfully, the people in MCKL are pretty punctual which, surprisingly includes the VIPs. Hence, the event only started approximately 30 minutes later. Hm, is that good or bad?

Once the VIP arrived, they started off with an opening performance and as usual, the speeches by the outgoing and incoming president of the Student Council as well as the CEO of MCKL. Then, it was all performances up till quarter to 9 whereby dinner is finally served. Like, no joke. I think I was having my supper instead of dinner. Speaking of performances, I just have to mention that the people in MCKL are seriously talented. Okay, although not ALL are up to your expectations, some are really damn good. You should have been there to watch. :) After dinner, there were lucky draws up till the end of the event.

That! Was when the party started. They hired a DJ from somewhere over the rainbow to play around with the DJ mixer. My goodness. That was also the time where all hell broke loose. The innocent people you see in MCKL are not so innocent after all. They surely do know how to party. And to party hard. The dance floor was super pack it was as if they were in a sardine tin. Mind you, I was just watching from the sidelines. Though, I got to say that watching from the sidelines is pretty entertaining. Not forgetting, I was busy taking pictures outside the ballroom. Trademark. Lol. Other than that, everybody was everywhere doing their own thing. Simply enjoying themselves and socialising around. :)

I shall let the pictures do the talking now. Hee.

PS. Yu Kit was one of the performers. Damn, his performance was just as superb. And so sweet. :D
PSS. I won something from the lucky draw. Ngehe.
