14th & 15th July 2012.

The sudden urge to blog strike me while I was showering and before the inspiration to blog goes away, I am here to update the blog. Hee.

Last weekend was pretty eventful with so many things up. Okay, maybe it wasn't that many but both my days were occupied so it is considered many. Lol. I don't really see the logic too but that is just the way I think.

To be more specific, my high school held their annual sports day last Saturday. Consequently, I made plans to meet up with my high school mates on that day. We also decided to have breakfast together at the 'mamak' shop that is located behind our school. Being Malaysians, most of them were late and one or two didn't even show up on that day. Honestly speaking, it has happened so many times that I wasn't surprised this time or even the many times before this. Nonetheless, I was really happy to finally meet up with my friends again after a long time. I had the time of my life being myself all over again with this bunch of people. I mean, it is not that I have not been myself all these while but I somehow feel that I am different when I am around my school mates and college mates. In other words, I am really different when I hang out with these two groups. To cut the long story short, we all had fun catching up with one another while mocking each other as well as to spectate the event.

Later that afternoon, Jia-Yi, Xiao Ran and I went over to Pavilion to meet up with another group of friends as one of them is leaving to study at a private college located somewhere in Malaysia. No, it is not that we won't see each other again but we just thought of spending some time together before he leaves as we won't know when will we see each other again. Plus, being in college now simply means that we hardly get to meet each other as our breaks are different and so is our college hours. It is not impossible but tough. Although we didn't do much on that day besides having lunch, walking around, chilling, playing pool and having dinner together, we had a good time together as we have been really close all these while. Before long, we parted ways and bid our goodbyes.

The next morning, we (Jia-Yi, Xiao Ran, Wan Jiun & I) woke up at 5 in the morning as we have registered to participate in the Jog For Hope that is organized by the Pre-U students of Taylor's Sri Hartamas which is held raise funds to help special children who are in need of support. As most of the stocks are based on the first come first serve basis, we decided to go early so that it won't go out of stock and to avoid the morning crowd too as it is a pretty big event. There, we met up with many others such as Vanessa, Wei Yee, Koon Thong, Soo Jean, Desmond, Ee Ching and Chasvinder who are there to join the charity event too.

Most of us joined either the 3 km or 6.5 km route minus Desmond who ran a total distance of 10 km. I seriously don't know where did he get his stamina from. Looking at my own stamina leaves me devastated. Le sigh. By the end of my 6.5 km run, I was half-dead. Oh Lord. The terrain was crazy. Up and down the hill. When you think that you are about to reach the finish line, your hopes are crushed when you are supposed to take a big round the high rises just to get to the other side of the route that leads to the end of the line. Lol. Come to think of it now, I don't know how I survived the whole run. Nevertheless, I can say that I am very proud of myself as I didn't thought of giving up but just to reach the finish line and I have to say that I was really satisfied when I finished the race. Teehee. However, I suffered the following two days as my whole body ached like crap. This is coming from a person who doesn't exercise on a normal basis. Lol!

After the whole event, a group of us went over to Publika for lunch. Must I say that Publika is a really nice place to chill at. :) Okay, it was my first time there so I can't help but share my experience there. Wouldn't mind going over again if there is any kind soul who would like to drive me over. Hee! :)

I guess this is a simplified version of my eventful weekend. It was really awesome to see you people again and I hope to see you lovelies again sometime soon! Miss you guys to bits already. And I am really looking forward to see the other friends who I haven't been seeing in a while too! Hee.
