Back to where I was. My birthday celebration started way back on Thursday and ended on Saturday. Who's birthday actually lasts for 3 whole days? Anyway, all I can say is that I am truly grateful for everything that has been done. Couldn't have asked for more. In conjunction with that, I'd share a little bit on what happened over the 3 most happening days of the year. ;)
It all started with a surprise plotted by my dear friends, Eng Jia-Yi, Kelly Kok Xiao Ran & Tan Tze Chung on Thursday night. I was actually having my worship practice in church on that day and when I was skipping out of the hall happily to go home, a familiar face popped up at the clear perspex on the door. Before I know it, the three of them started singing the birthday song with a rainbow cake in hand and a little commotion in between. Lol. Later, we went over to Brussels for our little supper time before the night ended.
The next day, which is on the 5th itself, life had to go on and I headed to college. I was on my ninja mode the whole morning since I didn't want to be seen or heard of. Lol. Anyway, once everybody was in the Biology lab, the whole class then again sang the birthday song for me. What a way to start the day huh. :) Here is when it gets exciting though. Me being ever so hardworking and focused in class, I couldn't help but be a little startled when the whole class sang the birthday song AGAIN but this time, Ee Vein along with Christie, Vee Yen & and few other friends came in from the back door with 2 slices of cake in hand which were bought by Jin Hao & Iverene as well as Ee Vein. Lol. After that, lessons went on as usual yadda, yadda, yadda.
It was lunch time by the time our classes ended and Ee Vein and I headed to Bangsar Village for lunch with another friend, Ian. :) Had our lunch date or rather, threesome at the Ben's Independent Groceries (B.I.G.) there. Must say that we had quite a good laugh and conversation over lunch then. Hee. When the sun started making its way down the horizon, I went over to church for our Youth Combine that night. Whole event went on as usual and when it was refreshments time, yet again, the whole bunch of awesome youths from my church started singing the birthday song for me with a huge ass chocolate cake that mom bought without my knowledge. Honestly didn't think that my mom was that sneaky. Lol. Chatted here and there for a bit before heading home and just like that, the night ended.
However, that wasn't the end of everything. My lovely high school friends celebrated my birthday on Saturday night by having dinner in Pavilion. Had dinner in Manhattan Fish Market and our second round at Wong Kok just to have the gigantic cup of 'milk tea'. It was really great to see all my high school friends again after such a long time. And the conversations we had the whole night made me realise how much I miss high school and their daily company back then. It almost felt so surreal to be having so much fun with them again. Nostalgia. :)
Anyway, here am I again thanking each and everyone of you who made my 18th birthday a memorable one. I really didn't expect much for my birthday but you guys went an extra mile to make my birthday a great one. Really appreciate every single text, call, tweet, presents, hugs, kisses, company & messages that you guys gave/sent me the other day. My birthday wouldn't have been the way it was without you guys. No words can comprehend how much I love you guys and cherish every moment spent with all of you. <33
Before I leave, I'd like to share a few pictures taken over the 3 period of days. ;)
