Girls Day.

Christie, Mankiran and I were invited to Xiao Ran's house yesterday for a 'girls day' as Xiao Ran would say it. Technically, Vicki was invited too but due to her prior commitments, she couldn't make it and ffk-ed us. Yes, Vicki. I am doing this to annoy you again. Hee. If you were wondering what this girls day was all about, it was simply Xiao Ran's plan to spend time doing some girly stuff with us. Okay, I do realise that it is why its called a 'girls day'. I feel so blonde right now. ==

Anyway, the two main agenda of the day were to bake cupcakes and some cookies as well as to do some nail painting (?) / polishing (?) Sadly, the second agenda failed really badly due to some reasons. Haha. Well, I believe that there is always a next time. :)

We started baking our first batch of cupcakes not long after Mankiran reached which was roughly at 10.30 in the morning? Somewhere there. Lol. We decided to try baking only one tray of cupcakes first as this is our first time baking besides Christie who has been helping her mother bake once in a while. :D I'm proud to say that our first batch of cupcakes are pretty successful though the outer layer was a little hard. Nevertheless, we're not bad for a first timer okay.

Since it took us about 2 hours just to bake the first batch of cupcakes which means that we finished about 12 plus, I decided to attempt cooking fried maggi noodles for them. Hahaha. I must say that this is one heck of an experience. Hey! The noodles turn out pretty nice on the outside and was edible alright. Minus the fact that it was rather tasteless. Who knew that the soy sauce was not salty, right? Nonetheless, I bet Christie, Xiao Ran and Mankiran *coughs* enjoyed *coughs* my cooking very much. Hehe.

After lunch, we continued baking our second batch of cupcakes. As we were preparing and measuring the ingredients to bake the second batch of cupcakes, we realised that we lack most of the ingredients as we were needed three times the amount for the first batch. Xiao Ran oh, Xiao Ran. Lol. Then we started calling Koon Thong and Kai Hoong to help us get the extra ingredients we needed. Oh yes, we invited Koon Thong and Kai Hoong over to Xiao Ran's place for tea. :D An english tea time experience as we put it. However, since they were being their usual self, they were late and Xiao Ran's mom was the one who got us what we needed instead.

Halfway through baking the second batch of cupcakes and first batch of cookies, the two guys with another one of their friends arrived. They had their lunch and came over to the kitchen to give us a hand. Surprisingly, Koon Thong is actually very helpful and not bad in baking for a guy. Haha. Okay, Kai Hoong is not that bad but being the usual him, he is more playful than helpful although he did help us here and there. :) After God knows how long of preparing the icing for the cupcakes and the batter for the cookies, we were finally done. Mind you, we were only done with the cupcakes since we had to wait for 2 hours for the cookie dough to rise. ==

We then headed out to Xiao Ran's gazebo and had our tea. :) We chatted away without any care in the world and realising the time that was passing by. Little did we know, it was already 5 something. So, the guys decided to leave as we had to continue baking our cookies. Hm, maybe they wanted to leave simply because of the simple reason being they were too lazy to help us. Haha.

Not long after that, we continued baking our cookies and it turned out pretty nice. :D Bangga. We finished baking and washing up at about 6 something. Trust me, all of us were half dead by then. Never did I know that baking can be this tiring. One thing for sure is that I won't be baking until the blue moon appears. Seriously.

All in all, I had a good day although I wasn't really feeling well. Lol. Thanks Xiao for having us over. :) We should do this again some time soon. No, not to bake but to do other stuff. Lol.

PS. If you're wondering if we finished all the cupcakes we baked, no we didn't. We ended up giving the guys three quarter of the cupcakes we baked. :D We're such nice people.

PSS. After baking 36 cupcakes, I think I'll abstain myself from eating them anytime soon. Hohoho.

PSSS. Sorry, there are no pictures. Lazy to go grab it from Xiao Ran. Haha. Anyway, you know where you can get to see the pictures. :)
