Old Fashioned.

Call me old fashioned but I like hand written letters compared to emails or text messages. I prefer Blogger over Twitter (although I am pretty much hooked onto Twitter). I prefer traditional games instead of any form of video games.

It is of no doubt that the world is advancing in so many dimensions and perspectives but sometimes, it'll be nice to just sit down, relax and live life the old fashioned way. Have you ever heard of the life lived by your grandparents or parents back in those days. Of course, life was not a bed of roses for them last time compared to how it is now. Nevertheless, have you ever listened to their stories and think to yourself, "It'll be nice to try that out." or even "Damn, I hope I was grandpa/grandma back then."

Hearing stories after stories about how people lived life back then, I am pretty envious of them. I mean, I am happy with how I am living my life now being so fortunate and stuff but childhood days back in the 20th century or even my younger days sounded more fun than it is now. Like, hello... The only thing kids spend their time nowadays are with iPads, iPhones, Play Stations. Frankly speaking, it sucks to be them. Being so attached to an electronic device and not being able to have a proper conversation or bonding time with their friends. Plus, the traditional games we used to play and the thought of even inventing a game out of plain boredom.

Putting kids aside, adults these days are facing the same problem too I have to say. With all their electronics and gadgets, they spend more time with it than they actually do with the people around them. Happens most of the time, no? At least that is what I have been observing around me. Come on, dude. You have all the time in the world to play around with your device or what-not but every second spent with another person is an investment that is priceless.

Where are the days where people go around the neighborhood saying a simple hello to their neighbors and the days where children spend time in the playground or neighbors house to play and bond with their friends. The days where life without electronic gadgets didn't really matter. Thing is, you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow or even the next second. So, don't you think that it is wise to just spend some quality time with human beings like those people from the previous generation and not on non-living things? Well, at least I know I prefer it this way. :)

Life is short.
It is not too late to make a U-turn.

PS. By the way, I am very happy with all the advancement in technology and often times, I indulge in it too but I do know my limits and I weigh my priorities. Just saying. Hee. No hard feelings okay.
