Helloooooo! :D I'm back for yet another post. I just thought of doing something much more worth it than to spend time looking through Facebook. So I'd simply post about what happened today. :)
Basically, I woke up at 6 just like any other school day. Yes, I know. 6 a.m. on a holiday? You'd probably be thinking that there is really something wrong with my brains. Lol. I was left with no choice but to crawl out of bed because I had the choral speaking competition today in conjuction with the National Youth Day 2011. Bummer, right?
Hohoho. Well, right now. Sitting in front of the laptop 13 hours later, I would say that it was worth it. It paid off well. Very well in fact. That is because the choral speaking team of SMKSBS actually won second place in the National Choral Speaking competition among 18 other schools that competed. Teehee! The plus point is that this year is my last year in school. So yea, thank you for making high school a more memorable one with this memory. :)
Seriously, it was beyond our wildest imagination to win any prize cause we were expecting Seafield to win the competition since they were really good but they came in third. And we thought our hopes of winning were crushed when they were announced as the second-runner up. But to our amazement, we were announced as the first-runner up. The situation back when the emcee announced that we were the second-runner up was, indescribable. Everybody was just so overjoyed that they were screaming and cheering as if today was their last day on earth. Lol. The frequency of the screams that filled the hall was capable of shattering the glasses. :) Oh well, I got to say that all the time spent staying back, the amount of melodious voice sacrificed and projected out, the idiotic looks on our faces, all of it paid off well. And oh, you might wonder who the champions were. It was St. Mary.
Ngehehehe. I want to say good job to all my team members. Not forgetting a big thank you to my dear Miss Hema. <3 I will remember all the torture and torment we had to go through, teacher. ;)
Alright, I'm going to hit the sack now. Lol. Despite the fact that it is only 8 o' clock. Thats what you get for sleeping at 3 the night before. Mental torture. ==
