To make a choice is somehow the same as being at a crossroad. Or rather, being at a T-Junction. You are to choose from a left or a right route without knowing what awaits you at the end of the route. The outcome will not be known until you've ended the journey. No doubt, there will be differences between the two or more routes (choices) you have to choose from. One may be a bumpy one while the other one may be a smoother one. but you don't see all these until you've actually go through the whole journey and finish it. Its all about gambling with the choice you make. And you don't always win when you gamble do you? In fact, you usually lose more than you win. I guess that it is just plain luck.
The choices made may not always turn out the way we want or expect it to be. That is the sad part and what is more saddening is that it is inevitable. People are bound to make wrong choices in life. Maybe it is because we make decisions mainly based on our emotions and blurred vision instead of really thinking through the consequences. But if we were to think everything through before making up our mind, we'd spend our whole life doing that one thing only. Hmm. All I can say is that we're all only humans.
Nevertheless, we are still smart enough to make the right decisions and choices most of the time. That is where the role and purpose of our brains comes in. ;) Another up side is that the choices we make sometimes do turn out the way we hope and wish for it to. If things always turn out bad, I'd be dead by now.
I'm not proud to say that I'm stupid and I make rash decisions at times. And hopefully I won't make the same wrong decision again. I pray hard. Lol. But don't you think that the wrong choices we make somewhat spices up our life? Hmm.. Okay, mind me. Its just a thought.
