Lies.

I was browsing through my Tumblr archive and I came across this picture that I've reblogged some time ago and some thoughts simply popped into my head as I was looking through. Lies. I wonder who hasn't lied in their life before. Come on, I wouldn't actually buy it if you were to come up and tell me that you've never lied before. I bet even a baby wouldn't trust you. Don't get me wrong. I know all of you are not as bad and mischievous as I am. Goody two shoes. :)

If it makes you happy to know, I've lied a lot in my life thus far. Like a lot, a lot. And I foresee so many more to come. Hoho. And no, thinking back right now, I'm not really proud of it but at the same time, its really funny to think what I've lied about and the reason I did it. You've got to understand, desperate times call for desperate measures. Okay, maybe that is just an excuse to not make me sound bad. Lol. Its a failed plan apparently.

Anyway, back to the quote in the picture. There is some truth in it. No, it is actually very true. Lies are lies be it big or small. With a reason or without a reason. However, I was watching a tv series not too long ago and there was this part where this girl lied to her best friend. And she had a good reason behind it which was that she had a past with her best friend's boyfriend. Oh, they actually didn't know each other yet back then. Its one whole long story behind it but then to me, she had a good reason to keep it to herself. Simply thinking from her perspective. But at the same time, if I were to be in her best friend's shoes, I would not want any secrets between us no matter what it is. Gosh, its one hell of a situation to be in. You simply don't know which is for the better.

So you see, it is very confusing to know whether a lie is good or bad. To one it may seem to be for a good reason but to the other, it is simply dumb and unnecessary to do so. You just don't know what you're gonna put at stake and who knows, relationships can be jeopardised. And people will start having trust issues. I personally hate trust issues. Hence, to be on the safe side, abstain yourself from lying. Plus, its not healthy to do so. Its better to come clean than for the other party from finding out either way which will in turn make things worse. :)

Just saying. Hopefully I learn from what I say. Lol.
