Happy Deepavali!

It is Deepavali today! :) I think I've made it pretty obvious already but who cares.
Nevertheless, I would like to grab this opportunity to wish all my Indian friends a very Happy Deepavali. Hee.

Deepavali Vatukal.
I don't know if I got the spelling right but it doesn't really matter right? Lol.
And, thanks Sahilan for teaching me another new word. :)

So, I basically spent my day at two of my close friend's place. Thank you for having us over, really. It is actually my first Deepavali celebration with friends who are the ones originally celebrating this auspicious celebration. Sounds like I am singing or rapping. Lol. Anyway, need I say that it is actually feels nice. I feel that this is where the '1Malaysia' term is really of good use. Not being judgmental or anything but its just an opinion of mine.

And I feel that I just have to say this. The food I had today were splendid. Hohoho. Can you imagine? Home cooked Indian cuisine. Although it may not be those you can find in some exclusive restaurant in town, the food was just as good. Besides, I somehow think that nothing beats home cooked food. Muruku. Tosai. Mutton. Fried chicken. Curry chicken with potato. Just to name a few. Hee. Oh yes, I think that the curry chicken with potato was the dish of the day. Really enjoyed it. :D Please do thank your mother or grandmother on the behalf of me for such superb food.

All in all, it was yet another enjoyable day today although I am pretty drained now. Played all sorts of card games. From Moose to Heart Attack to Bluff. Met a few new friends and was able to meet up with long lost friends. Well, its only during these occasions that you really get together with your friends don't you. :)

I think I have celebrated all the celebrations celebrated by all the races in Malaysia. Chinese New Year. Check. Hari Raya. Check. Deepavali. Check. Though there is one more celebration for me which is Christmas. Then, I'll be done for the year before next year comes around. :)

PS. Let me kindly share with you the highlight of the day. I tripped while getting into Jia-Yi's father's van that there is a blue-black on my leg now. So stupid and embarrassing. It even hurts to walk that I am walking at a tortoise's pace. And I can't even straighten my leg. Siensation.
